Emily + Tim - Melbourne Gallery & Beach Wedding
EMILY + TIM
Oh boy, oh boy!
When I met these 2 on Skype (I know old skool innit) I knew I was going to be in for a treat on their wedding day!
I was not disappointed.
I started with Tim and his 13 year old son, Sunny. And can I just say, I now have very high expectations for all other 13 year old boys - he has set the bar highhhhh.
And these two have taken #fathersongoals to a whole new level.
Never a dull moment when these 2 were getting ready and it was totes über cool overload!
Sunny and I then went and joined Emily and her posse! I loved that nearly all her vendors where either friends or family - which made it even more special that they chose lil' ol' me for their pics. I had a great day with them all - and as it so often happens when I'm shooting a wedding, I gained a whole lotta new family for the day.
Tim and Emily opted for a First Look - which I highly recommend. It means you get to have that first glance of your future spouse and soak it all up in private - which means you can have ugly crying face and snot nose tears if you want! I digress!
The ceremony and reception where held at the cool for cats, Smart Artz Gallery. All styled and dressed by Emily's very clever sister-in-law, while the florals were all done by Tim's 18 year old daughter, Raine. And flipping gorgeous they were too - Raine and the flowers! :) I told you it was a family affair. AND her Dad did the cake!! And honestly - was one of the tastiest cakes I've had. Full stop.
The things I took away from this wedding are as follows:
- First Looks are ace!
- sneaking down to the beach for some portraits and a breather was a most excellent idea
- Teachers really know how to tear it up on the dance floor!
- Don't let your brother ( who may have had a bevvy or two) be in charge of handing out the sparklers for the sparkler tunnel exit AND give him the only lighter! ( insert crying laughing face emoji)
Ok, let's cut to the chase - the pics can say it so much better than my ramblings!
