Wedding - Lucy + Piri - London Wedding Photographer
Where to start??
From the moment I spoke with Lucy on the phone (and to steal Piri's own words) it felt like I was talking to a longtime friend. Lucy & Piri have such gorgeous familes and friends, that it is no wonder that they came together. I just knew it was going to be a gorgeous London Wedding full of warmth, love and laughter ( A LOT of laughter!).
It was everything I expected it to be - and so much more. Although the whole affair was kept fairly simple it by no means lacked style. The girls from Scarlet & Violet provided the stunning floral arrangements and bouquets which matched perfectly the simplicity yet utter gorgeousness that was Lucy's Peter Langner dress. She matched her dress with a beautiful Vera Wang veil and stunning Brian Atwood shoes. The shoes, Piri had bought her and she had worn to her Maid of Honour's (the lovely Alice) wedding last year.
Piri was also a vision of tres cool and style. He wore a suit and shirt by Thom Sweeney ( and if you go to the website with your volume up, the tune playing, I feel, was Piri's theme tune!) With John Lobb shoes and a tie from Drake's, Piri certainly stood with pride next to his beautiful bride. And as I'm writing this, the reality of them choosing me to be their Wedding Photographer is finally hitting home. For such a gorgeous ( inside & out) couple to have chosen me, it is the biggest compliment.
Mr T (as my superstar assistant) and I spent the day with Lucy, her Mum, her lovely Alice & her Aunt at Chandos House where Lucy & Piri were later married. We were all so well looked after and it is such a beautiful and calm setting. Lauren (make up) & Sarah-Louise (hair) did an outstanding job and it really did just feel like a bunch of girlfriends getting ready together before going out. The ceremony was conducted by one of the nicest people I've met, let alone nicest Registrars - Tommy Hanover and David (who assisted) were fab - warm, friendly, easy going - you couldn't be nervous around them if you tried. So if you're thinking about getting married in the City of Westminster, look them up. Actually - you'll be able to see them soon on telly in a 2 Part series - Births, Deaths & Marriages - on ITV on 4th Feb!
The reception was at Corrigan's (where the food was phenomenal) and no less stylish. Again, everything was kept uncomplicated and simple - but no one was left needing or wanting anything more than what was provided. Lucy & Piri had everything covered (thank you Lucy & her spreasheets!!)
It really was a lovely lovely day and I feel not only do I have another wedding under my belt - I've come away with a whole bunch of new friends too.
So without further ado...... enjoy!
