HEARTBROKEN

I may have only been a part of this family for a short amount of time (over 2 days), but they had such a huge impact on me, that I'm completely heartbroken at the loss of Rose's father. I'm not going to pretend I knew him well, but what I do know is, that he treated me only with kindness, warmth and welcomed me whole heartedly. He made such an effort to make conversation with me - a stranger with cameras in her hands, who was clearly a temporary presence.
I'm so grateful to have been a part of this celebration and even more grateful that I got some images of this wonderful father/husband/friend that I know will be treasured forever.

HERDING CATS

Let's talk about group photos.
Sometimes they can be the bane of ... let's face it, everyone's life.
For photographers, it's a bit like herding cats.
For the guests it can be a bit #awkward - especially when you think you're meant to be in it, but actually not...
For the happy couple, well their cheeks will nearly always end up hurting..
BUT... they're so important to have.
And if just a little bit of effort is put into it, and you have someone who can help the photographer round people up, then it can all be pretty painless. And you can have some fun with them too and get your 'Vanity Fair' on... (check out previous IG posts baby!!) And for me... I love these in-between moments - that tell a million stories in just one moment.

CONGRATS... ...to these two scallywags...( aka Andrew & Grace off of @bottlebrushfilms) who have just won the @lovestoriestv 2019 Film Award for Best Use of Music for their film of Jacqueline & Liam! I know how passionate they are (and masters of) about music and the role it plays in story telling... I am so super stoked for them.
I hope they're celebrating with some very fancy-pants cocktails whilst sunning themselves in Hawaii right now.
